How Does KNX Work

KNX System Design

Key System Components :

  • Sensors: Gather information (e.g from push buttons, thermostats ) and send it on the bus as a data telegram .
  • Actuators : Receive data telgrams and convert them into actions (e.g dimming units, heating valves, switching lights on/off )
  • Controllers & Logic : Manage logic functions(e.g room temperature, shutter controllers, logic operations)
  • System Devices : Provide infrastructure and power (e.g Line couplers, Power supply )
